About Dr. George
Elizabeth S. George, M.D., M.P.H., is an OB/GYN physician and surgeon at Adefris & Toppin Women’s Specialists, in Woodbury, Minnesota. She is excited to join this practice of wonderful physicians and staff, and is looking forward to caring for women of all ages in the area. Dr. George chose a career in OB/GYN because she enjoys empowering and caring for women from puberty through menopause. She specializes in pregnancy and childbirth, as well as treating many gynecologic health conditions.
Dr. George is originally from Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin. She completed her undergraduate degree in Biology/Pre-Medicine at Augustana College in Rock Island, Illinois. Dr. George then pursued a Master of Public Health degree at the University of Wisconsin in Madison, where she also specialized in Global Health. She stayed at UW-Madison where she then completed her Doctor of Medicine. She then went to St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana where she rounded out her training with a residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
After graduation, she moved back north to the Twin Cities to be closer to family. She has loved exploring and getting to know the Twin Cities area so far. Outside of the office, Dr. George also enjoys traveling, hiking, trying new restaurants, and going to see musicals at the theater.
Dr George has already been recognized for her high level of clinical excellence, being named a Top Doctors Rising Star by Minneapolis/St. Paul Magazine for 2023.
